There are many users of these saws which swear by their durability, dependability and torque. Here is a website which details how to do the motor rework: I have no expertise or machine shop access to do the motor rebuild. If you have access to a machine shop or a machine shop buddy, this motor should be able to be reworked to power the saw for 2" or better lumber.
I have had this saw for 21 years and it has gradually developed this lack of power. You then have to wait a minute and restart the saw to finish the cut. It still works but bogs down when cutting 2" or better hardwood and then the switch overheats and cuts out halfway through the cut. This is a project for a restoration unless the saw will only be required to cut 1" stock. The two saws are for sale because I have inherited a 3rd cabinet saw. The Excalibur fence rails did not mount to the other cabinet saw easily so the fences were swapped back. This vintage saw had the Unifence originally included in the 2018 post, but the fence had to be changed to the Excalibur. The other Unisaw has 1.5hp modern motor will have the Unifence included. This is a repost of a previous ad in 2018 but with changes of equipment specifications. 97-1826 with original Bullet Motor currently set for 220V operation but can be wired for 110V.
